Amid Hamidi, MD
Amid Hamidi, MD has served the community and McLeod Health at various capacities since 2015. His passion is community health and bringing quality healthcare to everyone. Dr. Hamidi currently serves as Facility Medical Director of Emergency Services at McLeod Health Dillon Emergency Department. He finds joy in being a part of a vibrant, resilient team of incredible healthcare workers and leaders.
Dr. Hamidi spent his formative years in Orangeburg, SC where he attended Orangeburg Wilkinson High School IB program and subsequently South Carolina State University Honors College where he graduated Summa Cum Laude with Bachelors of Science in Chemistry and Biology and minors in Mathematics and English. In Orangeburg, he actively participated in integrating scientific research and community health, and shadowed community physicians and physicians at the local hospital. He subsequently traveled to complete his studies at University of Massachusetts Amherst and also joined a leading neuroscience lab at Harvard University with affiliations at Boston Children’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School.
He returned to his home state to attend Medical School at MUSC in Charleston College of Medicine, led by Dr. Deborah Deas as Dean of Medicine. Dr. Hamidi strained every nerve to stay active in serving the Charleston community grassroots empowerment efforts while undergoing his medical training. He married Emrys and they subsequently moved to Florence, SC to be closer to family and to undergo their residency training in a broad spectrum and rigorous program at McLeod Regional Medical Center, led by Dr. Gerard Jebaily as Program Director. Dr. Hamidi finds many of his physician mentors at McLeod to be tremendous help in treating his patients in the best manner possible. During his training, Dr. Hamidi showed particular interest in Obstetrics, Women’s Health, community health programs, as well as Critical Care Medicine rendered in the ICU and Emergency Department. He is also certified in ATLS, ACLS, ALSO, PALS, NRP, BLS and Rural Trauma Team Development Course.
In addition to standard training requirements, Dr. Hamidi always reached for more within and beyond the main campus. He has received additional training experience in Emergency Critical Care, Ultrasound, ICU Medicine, Hospital Medicine, Pediatrics, OB/GYN, postpartum care, emergency OB hemorrhage management in Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics, Sports Medicine and Dermatology.

Emrys Hamidi, MD
Emrys Hamidi, MD is an attending phsycian at the Mcleod Clarendon Emergency Department and the Mcleod Dillon Emergency Department . Dr. Hamidi completed her residency in Family medicine at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence, SC, where she received training in Broad Spectrum Family Medicine. In addition to the standard training received by all Family Medicine residents, Dr. Hamidi received additional training in management of a high volume ICU, managing patient care in the Emergency Department setting, providing gynecologic care to women of all ages, as well as general care of acute care patients in the inpatient setting. She has training in Point of Care Ultrasound Training, FAST scan and Emergency bedside ECHO, and is certified in ACLS, ALSO, PALS, and BLS. Dr Hamidi received her Medical degree from the Medical University of SC and her undergraduate degrees in History and Spanish and Latin American Caribbean Studies from the College of Charleston in Charleston, SC where she graduated Suma Cum Laude. Dr. Hamidi is fluent in Spanish, and has been extensively involved with medical outreach within the Hispanic community, where language and cultural disparities often create a barrier to access to adequate medical care. She is passionate about working to eliminate disparities and is actively involved in promoting increased inclusivity of historically underserved communities by the traditional medical establishment.
Lida Hamidi, FNP
Lida Hamidi, DNP, FNP-BC is licensed as an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) in South Carolina and a board-certified family nurse practitioner. She specializes in acute and chronic disease management, preventative health, and wellness. Her goal as a nurse practitioner is “working with dignity to provide the very best care to her patients with respect and honesty.” She began her career in healthcare as a Critical Care Registered Nurse, after graduating from South Carolina State University in 2013. She then graduated with her Master's and Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from the Medical University of South Carolina in 2022. Lida is certified through the American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC). She is also certified in ACLS, PALS, BLS, and PCCN. She most recently completed a quality improvement project during her DNP residency about “Prevention pressure injury through the nutrition assessment and management” to improve nutrition in the practice setting. She enjoys serving her community and is passionate about providing an excellent experience to her patients.
